How it works
During a nasal rinse, a mild salt solution flows through the nose. It loosens mucus, washes out germs, dust and pollen and moisturises the mucosa at the same time. Because 2.5 g salt is matched exactly to 250 ml water, there is nothing to weigh or guess.
How to use
Fill the bottle to the mark with lukewarm water, add 1 sachet of salt and shake until dissolved. Lean forward over the sink, place the tip on one nostril and rinse by squeezing gently; the solution drains from the other nostril. Then switch sides and blow your nose gently.
Who it's for
For adults and children from 12 years, with colds and allergies and as prevention, for example in pollen season. With ear pain or fever, please check with a doctor first.
Pharmacist's tip
Breathe through your mouth and do not talk while rinsing. Clean the bottle thoroughly after each use and let it dry. Refill salt sachets are available from us.

Lieferumfang: 1x Emser Nasendusche (Tankbehälter, Deckel mit Ventil, Sockelstück mit Nasenansatzstück; Füllvolumen 250 ml); 4 Beutel Emser Nasenspülsalz à 2,5 g; Gebrauchsanweisung. Emser Nasenspülsalz: Es enthält eine Mineralsalzmischung mit 5% Natürlichem Emser Salz und anderen wertvollen Mineralsalzen (Analysedaten der Mineralsalzmischung: Ionen in g/kg: Natrium 356, Kalium 9,2, Chlorid 449, Hydrogencarbonat 173, Sulfat 11,5). Emser Nasenspülsalz enthält keine chemischen Zusätze zur Konservierung oder Verbesserung der Fließeigenschaften.
Notes and warnings
- Do not rinse with injuries to the nasal roof or sinuses connected to the brain fluid spaces, with heavy nosebleeds or intolerance to ingredients.
- Use only isotonic solution: 1 sachet (2.5 g) per 250 ml. Never rinse with plain water or table salt. Dissolve the salt completely.
- Use fresh water of drinking quality, max. 50 °C; with cystic fibrosis, after surgery or with uncertain water quality use boiled or sterile water. Do not store the solution.
- When blowing your nose afterwards, close only one nostril at a time. Occasional tingling or burning, rarely headache.
- Rinse with hot water before and after each use and let dry open and upright; dishwasher safe when taken apart. One douche per person; replace after about 100 uses or 6 months.
- For adults and children from 12 years. Keep the salt out of reach of children.
