How it works
Retinol is a form of vitamin A and one of the best studied ingredients in anti-ageing care. It boosts skin cell renewal, so over time skin looks smoother, fine lines less visible and tone more even. Niacinamide (vitamin B3) supports the skin barrier and helps keep skin balanced while using retinol.
How to use
Apply in the evening to cleansed face and neck, then moisturiser. Always use sunscreen during the day, as retinol can make skin more sensitive to light. Avoid the eye area.
Who it's for
For skin with wrinkles and uneven tone. During pregnancy and breastfeeding use retinol products only after talking to your doctor.
Pharmacist's tip
Start slowly: every second or third evening for the first two weeks, then increase. Slight dryness or redness at the beginning is typical. Do not combine with acid peels on the same evening; a soothing balm like Cicaplast Baume B5+ helps on dry patches.
